Everything salmon, without the clutter.
Salmon is a regular on our table, so I started salmon.se to collect recipe ideas I come across, cook when I can, and share with other people looking for dinner inspiration.
What you'll find here
Some days call for simple baked salmon; other days, pasta, rice, a salad or something inspired by another cuisine. I look for recipes that are easy to follow and realistic to cook at home, with ideas that can work for adults and kids alike.
Why salmon?
Salmon is easy to cook in lots of different ways, and it offers more than variety. Salmon provides protein, long-chain omega-3 fats (EPA and DHA), vitamin D, vitamin B12 and selenium. Omega-3 fats play important roles in the body, and eating oily fish can be part of a balanced, heart-healthy diet. Salmon isn't a miracle food, but it's a tasty way to get fish onto the menu. The NHS has a useful overview of fish nutrition and omega-3s.
More recipes to come
This collection is still growing. I save new ideas, try dishes when I can, and add recipes, guides and better photos as I go. Some ideas make it to the table quickly; others have to wait their turn in the kitchen.
Who's behind salmon.se?
I'm a father of four and a pescatarian, so I cook salmon fairly often and look for dishes that work for grown-ups and kids alike. I've cooked and tried many of the recipes here myself, but not every one yet—some are still on my to-do list. I collected them here to make it easier to find a good idea for dinner without searching all over the place. I'll keep working through the list and improving the recipes as I go.
